An Age of Requiem

Reinvention of self

Order of survival

I linger in obscurity

With hope

Far from my mind

Lost innocence rekindles

Distant dreams

The tense and the tender

As the mind start to feel

That sense of oblivion

I’ve wandered these cerebral roads

I often wonder why

Wayfaring stability

Past blissful ignorance

Where some have their gods

Some battle with demons

Yet I only yearn

For a long peaceful sleep
