Jaded
I
Am all you’ve ever seen
Enlightening your dreams
From a place you’ll never find
Lost in parts you try to hide
All that make up: a facade
For a life you’ve never had
And your mind is numb, it shows
From deception you still grow
Spread the words that you’ve been told
And show a face that fears the old
Age of your decent
A sense of crime that won’t repent
When all that was
Has sagged and faded
I know you now
As spent
And jaded

Fantastic piece of writing. The flow is wonderful and you’ve used a really nice rhyme throughout.
